Dr. Heiden
Dr. Heiden has been in private practice for over 25 years. He specializes in hard to fit contact lenses including gas permeable contact lenses. Dr. Heiden is a member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, Broward County Optometric Association, and a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is also a member of the Hollywood Rotary Club. Dr. Heiden received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry from the University of California at Berkley.
Dr. Strauss
Dr. Alexis Heiden Strauss is proud to be the third generation of her family to practice optometry in Hollywood. Alexis graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Psychology. She earned her doctor of optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, where she was a four-year member of the national optometric honor society and completed externships at Bascolm Palmer Eye Institute, the Veterans’ Administration, and the New England Eye Institute. She has re-joined Heiden & Heiden after two years at one of Washington, D.C.’s most prestigious practices.
